Liz Anjorin who won the YORUBA MOVIE PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR, boldly dedicates her award to all her "haters" at the City People Awards that held last night at the 10 degrees event centre, Oregun, Ikeja Lagos.....

There were a whole lot of interesting awards dished out, Ranging from the Best Music Band of the Year won by the Faith Band to several Special Recognition Awards including

Steve Eboh "Ajebo"
Doctor Adewale Ayuba
Aina Gold
Wale Oni
Yeni Kuti
Sunday Are and lots more...
for their contributions to the development of showbiz in Nigeria and Africa.
The MARVIN CREW won the Record Label Of the Year, with Dr Sid and Tiwa accepting the award on behalf of the company, they had this to say "....Almost exactly two years ago, a very big breakup happened i that affected the entertainment industry...... a few of us left behind decided to come together and we would love to thank Don Jazzy for keeping the dream alive. A big shout-out to city people and everyone that brought us here today."
Femi kuti whom was awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award happened to have been at the venue earlier around 2pm but left because the event didn't start in time. He was represented by Yeni Kuti.
Dr Sid won the award for the best collabo for Surulere feat. Don Jazzy, he had this to say "... I have been in this industry for about 10 years and my 'suru af lere'."
Several artists were on ground to grace the event with their performance and a few caught my attention, one of which was Praiz whose track refused to play, or was it the DJ, guess i'll never know, but he boldly held his head high and said "when you're ready I'll be back"... Well he did came back tho and thrilled the audience, so did Our very own Oritsefemi who performed his hit track "Double Wahala".
